Solar Power

Photovoltaic (PV) System Installed in
Pasadena, CA by Solar Webb www.solarwebb.com.
Installation in July 2001.

Cumulative power generated from solar panels since installation:

4167 KilloWatt Hours (KWH) as of 7 October 2002

Since install the solar panels have:
- generated 49% of the power we've used, and
- there have been 38 days when the panels have generated 100% or greater of our power needs, sending net power to the grid for the day!

Solar Power with Power Conservation
Solar Power Power Conservation
- Power generated so far: 4116 KWH
(that has reduced power bill)
- Conservation by use of flourescent lights; double-pane, low-e windows; turning off phantom loads
- 49% of house power from panels - Winter Power Usage comparison
    pre-solar: 40 KWH/day
    now: 28 KWH/day
- $815 saved on power bill for the 4116 KWH - Summer power usage comparison
    pre-solar: 63 KWH/day
    now: 25 KWH/day

System: 32 Kyocera KC120 panels, Trace SW4048 Inverter with ground fault interrupter and battery backup.

Thank you to the City of Pasadena, Department of Water and Power and the California Energy Commission for the rebates !!! Also appreciated is the State of California Franchise Tax Board Solar Energy System Credit (Form 3508).
